Jason qualified as a UK attorney and served as the nationwide manager of BerrmansLace Mawer, who specialise in financial services. He went on to manage legal and compliance in over 90 countries for Sun Microsystems, overseeing over €1.5 billion per year in transactions.

He later became the CEO of Financial Partners Bank, with over 12,000 clients and $1.2 billion AUA. He is the founder of Cayman Enterprise City, the Cayman Commodities and Derivative Exchange, and he served on the board of the Cayman Islands Government Special Economic Zone Authority.

Rob has an MBA, holds Chartered status as a Director, Engineer, and Marketer; is a fellow of the RSA, IoD, ISSM and BCS; a Liveryman of the IT Livery Company (where he chairs the Entrepreneur Panel); and is a Visiting Senior Fellow at Cass Business School.

Jim O’Neill has been a senior banker for over 34 years. He is a former director of the Bank of New York, the CEO of the Bank of Austria (Cayman) and is the on the board of directors of NYSE-listed Butterfield Bank Limited. He has an MBA in international banking and has been working in the international commercial banking industry for over three decades. He is chairman of the audit, compliance and risk policy committee of Butterfield’s Cayman subsidiary. Additionally, he is a councilor and former secretary for the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce and has been a trustee of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Pension since 2002. He also served as secretary and treasurer of the Cayman Islands Bankers Association.

Christopher has worked for Longitude (Cayman) Ltd. for over twelve years. Longitude is an exempt company incorporated in the Cayman Islands in 1995 and regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority under the Securities Investment Business Law. He remains responsible for the full range of accounting and financial administrative work including verification of net asset values, preparation of financial statements and internal reports, daily maintenance of portfolio databases and analysis of potential investment opportunities. Additionally, he is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for the oversight of several client accounts.

Tom is a pragmatic and experienced IT and telecoms professional with over 25 years experience in the IT and telecommunication industry. He was the CIO for Cayman Enterprise City and held senior management positions at Injazat Data System, a joint venture between EDS and Mubadala in the UAE, Sun Microsystems in the Middle East and Africa and Cable & Wireless in the UK. He has extensive experience in the end-client environment, having served as an IT director and in senior management roles, as well as working as a supplier and solutions provider with senior roles in blue-chip technology and solutions provider companies.

Tom’s experience provides him with the ability to work at a strategic or operational level, enabling him to meet the objectives and challenges faced by the company and its clients.

A recognised financial services business leader, Karen has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, applications development and business management. Her expertise includes international banking, payments, treasury management and transaction processing.

With a track record for raising capital to bring innovative technology solutions to market, Karen has served as the CEO of eFinance Corporation and as a partner at the Belgium-based consulting firm The Capital Markets Company (CAPCO). Additionally, she led the U.S. financial services practice of Gemini Consulting, where she managed global accounts and developed service offerings including transaction processing, electronic commerce and real-time management. Karen is also the author of numerous industry publications and articles on the subjects of cash management, payments and financial supply chain integration.

Anja has deep banking experience, having been schooled at the Swiss Bank Academy and having worked with HSBC Bank Cayman Limited from 2010 until 2014, where she covered multiple areas of the bank’s activities.

During Anja’s tenure at HSBC Bank Cayman, she frequently contributed in roles such as marketing, sales presentations, investment strategy presentations and actively contributed to compliance-related improvements within the department.

Anja further developed a close relationship with the treasury department for active FX transactions for HSBC’s portfolio clients and independently worked with the legal department on improving several lending documents.

An EPFL graduate, holder of a Swiss federal licence as a pension-fund expert and a specialist in Eurex/Soffex derivatives, Jacques has over 30 years within the financial services industry, with over 20 years at C-Level for a number of financial related entities. He began his professional career at NCR as director of large accounts in their banking division. In 2002, he set up Fundo SA, where he has been CEO ever since. Fundo is a FINMA-regulated Swiss institutional asset manager responsible for over $1.5billionin institutional mandates. Over 15 years of operation, Fundo has become a thought leader in the Swiss pension fund industry.

He has managed leading banking, security and defense projects including Emaar Economic City – a $5 billion special economic city where he established PMO processes, identified risks and dependencies, measured performance measurement and managed progress reporting.

The bank has appointed an external accounting practice, Berman Fisher (Cayman), to operate as its Chief Financial Officer and to manage and maintain a dedicated independent “four-eyes team”.Berman Fisher’s lead is Lauren Christie ACA, CPI, CFA, who started her career in 2005 with KPMG Audit in London. She moved to the Cayman islands in 2008 where she specialises in financial services. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, holds the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency and has over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Lauren is a board member of the CFA Society of the Cayman Islands, a member of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, 100 Women in Hedge Funds and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW).

Aaron Smith is the President and CEO of IgilityLtd., a holding company which provides leadership and direction over a group of businesses primarily in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.

Aaron worked for IBM Canada starting in 1989 before relocating to Bermuda to assume a senior management role with the IBM Bermuda Agency in 1998. After co-founding Igilityin 2003, the group assumed ownership of the IBM Agencies in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands (incorporated in 2008) until divesting of the franchises in 2016.

Aaron has served as a director for several private and publicly-traded organizations including those in the technology, financial services, education and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves as Interim Chief Executive for the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda and is also a member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda Government’s E-Commerce Advisory Board. Aaron holds a BSc from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Windsor.
